Trampoline Park Safety: What Every Parent Should Know

Every parent drops their child off at a trampoline park with the same silent wish: have fun, don't break anything. The good news? Modern trampoline parks are engineered with safety at the centre of everything. But knowing the basics — and teaching your kids before they hit the floor — makes a real difference.

What to teach your kids before they jump

Before the session starts, go over the basics together. One person per trampoline at a time. No flips unless a staff member is supervising. Keep an eye on the people around you — it's the most common cause of bumped heads and minor collisions. Remind them that the staff are there to help, not to spoil the fun, and that following instructions quickly keeps everyone safer.

What to wear (and what to leave in the car)

Grip socks are mandatory at all Fun Park Canada locations — they're available at the front desk if you forget yours. Comfortable athletic clothes are best. Avoid jeans, belts with metal buckles, or anything with sharp edges. Remove jewellery, watches, and earrings before jumping. Phones in pockets are a liability — use a locker.

How our parks make safety structural

Beyond rules, our parks are physically designed to reduce risk. Trampoline beds are surrounded by padded walls and foam-filled landing zones. Equipment is inspected before every open session. Our staff complete certified safety training before their first shift and participate in ongoing refreshers. First aid stations are clearly marked throughout every park, and all staff are trained in first aid and CPR.
